Enabling Others to Live Better Lives

Who We Are

Hand in Hand is more than just a nonprofit—it’s a movement dedicated to restoring hope, dignity, and mobility to individuals who have lost limbs due to war, accidents, illness, or congenital conditions. In a world where prosthetic care is often inaccessible and expensive, we step in to bridge the gap. By harnessing advanced 3D-printing technology, we provide free, high-quality prosthetic limbs, ensuring that amputees—regardless of age, background, or financial situation—can regain their independence and live fulfilling lives.Since our founding, we have expanded our reach across Egypt’s 27 governorates and into seven other countries, making a profound impact in communities where prosthetic care is limited or nonexistent.

Why We Exist

Losing a limb is not just a physical challenge—it’s an emotional, psychological, and social one. For many amputees, the loss of mobility means the loss of livelihood, independence, and self-confidence.Many prosthetic solutions are either too expensive, poorly made, or unavailable in underprivileged communities. This is where Hand in Hand steps in.We believe in a world where no amputee is left behind. Our mission is simple:

Provide high-quality, functional prosthetic devices—completely free of charge.

Empower amputees to regain their independence, confidence, and dignity.

Utilize cutting-edge technology to create accessible, innovative, and customized solutions.

What We Have Achieved So Far

Our journey has been driven by innovation, community support, and the generosity of donors. Here’s what we’ve accomplished:

5,000+ Prosthetic Devices Delivered – Restoring mobility and dignity to thousands of amputees.
Reaching 27 Governorates & 7 Countries – Expanding access to those who need it most.
Supporting the Most Vulnerable – 50% of our recipients are between 18-40 years old, the prime working age group, and 20% are children, ensuring that young amputees get a second chance at a normal life.
Harnessing 3D-Printing Technology – Providing lightweight, durable, and custom-fit prosthetic solutions for greater comfort and efficiency.

But this is just the beginning. Every day, new amputees need our support.

✔ Durable – Built to withstand daily wear and tear.
    ✔ Custom-Fit – Tailored to each recipient’s unique needs.
✔ Affordable & Accessible – Thanks to 3D printing, we can produce high-quality devices at a fraction of traditional costs.

  • Full-Circle Support for Amputees

A prosthetic device is just the beginning. We ensure that every recipient receives:
Proper Fitting & Adjustments – To ensure comfort and functionality.
Rehabilitation & Training – Helping them adapt and regain full mobility.
Psychological and Psychiatric Support – Guiding amputees through their journey of rediscovery.

  • Community Outreach & Impact

We work directly with hospitals, NGOs, local clinics, and refugee camps to reach amputees who otherwise wouldn’t have access to prosthetic care.

Our work extends beyond providing devices—we educate, empower, and advocate for amputees, raising awareness about the challenges they face and the solutions available.

  • Powered by Generosity: How Donations Make a Difference

We believe that mobility should not be a privilege—it’s a right. But we can’t do this alone.
